    Default calling

Or, you could just invite him over for a beer and if he happens to see a moose in your yard and shoots it, OK.

Some folks said it was BS that his ole lady called him and said theres a fork in the yard...but theres nothing wrong with that.
We do not go to the green woods and crystal waters to rough it, we go to smooth it. We get it rough enough at home; in towns and cities; in shops, offices, stores, banks anywhere that we may be placed

    I don't recall hearing that.

"Hey babe, theres a spike in the yard" is alot different than "10-4, Rubberduck, we've got a big house slidin halfway down the hill comin your way"

This is more along the lines of ground-to-air and buddy to buddy hand held radio-type of comm.

Page 18, though does state cellular comm. may not be used in the taking of game.

Electronic use bans apply in the field. There is nothing illegal about using a normal phone system, land or cell, to communicate to friends and neighbors in town.

The "ask a wildlife trooper" column was in today's news minus and this very thing was discussed.

    http://www.newsminer.com/news/2009/s...en-youre-hunt/

"Question: If is am driving down the highway and see a legal moose in a legal area, can I use my cell phone to call a friend and tell him where it is or direct him to it?
    — Ryan
Answer: No. 5AAC 92.080 states a hunter cannot take game with the aid of radio communications, cellular or satellite telephones."

Personally (not that it counts for anything!) I don't think saying "hey there's a bull at my house get over here" over a cell phone is in anyway the same as saying "now go left, ok now through that stand of trees, and on the far edge of the clearing you should see him" which in my mind is what the intent of the rule is trying to prevent.

I can call my buddy up and say "Hey, I hear there is a huge bull moose in the area we hunted last year so lets go get em".

If that is breaking the law, well, consider me a law breaker, and the authorities can kiss my azz.

Some of you really need to lighten up, lol.

All I know is that if I did it my story here on the forum would not start like this... "My buddy called me on my cell and said there was a big bull standing in his back yard..."
