    Default Blacktail on Kodiak

Just wondering if anybody has any news about how the deer faired last winter. They've had several rough winters recently and I'm hoping they got a bit of a break this time.

nope they got hit with two foot of snow this spring and that finished off most the fawn crop was the report, trooper said he's been seeing fewer deer than last year, bio in kodiak said its the least amount of deer he's ever seen. still deer around, just alot less than the past.

In all my travels so far this year I have seen fewer deer. The heavy snow in march/april put a real hurt on them. Third year in a row that they got hit hard. If this keeps up, we won't have deer on the road system.
