    Default wire lines in Kodiak

I have a couple of 9/0's spooled on bent butts with wire line. I use them to troll with either hi-speed for pelagics or slow for grouper in FL. Would they be useful in Kodiak? Or would it be illegal? I looked in the regs, but didn't see it. But possible I over looked it.

It's rare to see anyone use a reel larger than a 4/0, and most everyone has gone to braided lines. You certainly could use such tackle, but you'll likely find that a 4/0 or 3/0 sized quality reel and a decent rod is alot less effort to fish with, and will catch the largest of halibut.

Might work well for the sharks though.

I thought it might be a little over kill. Figured I would ask before I tried to sell them.
