    Default Bigfoot

I was just looking at the Washington site much like this one, and they had a bigfoot question on there, I was just wondering does Alaska have any oddities or bigfoot lore stories to tell or are you all so busy with real wildlife you dont have to invent stories? Just curious

Probably the scariest story I've heard about is the terrible NoPO Vince.

Big foot tried to migrate up here.. but was stopped at the border and told there are already too many special interest groups and tourist attractions in AK.. and with the failing economy his presence here would jeopardize the corporate land grabbing revenues as all the California tourist would demand free access to a national treasure... aside from the short viewing season. he would take away from established tourist enterprises.

when Big foot applied for a fair hearing under the protected species act. they held him down for a shave and in turn reveled Bigfoot to be Papa Pilgrim and was summarily arrested for various crimes against his family.

thus ending the saga of the elusive big foot...

really i am surprised you had not heard.....

Sasquatch isn't at the top of the food chain 'round these parts. The grizz thinned them out long ago.

I've heard of some Native Alaskan Lore talking about some Bigfoot type creature. I've also read about the same lore in a book, but I don't remember which one. So yes there is some lore, but not as prevalent here, then in the 48.

i don't know about bigfoot but i occasionally see a herd of wolly mammoths sprinting across the tundra. it's too cold up here for bigfoot not hairy enough and apparently you have to have the I.Q. of pudding to spot one and there are no people like that up here

No Bigfoot or 'Squatch up here.

If there was ADFG would have a drawing permit set up and we'd all shell out $25 a year for a 1 in a 10,000 chance at hunting them. Rick Sinott would have a piece in ADN every six months about the status of the Squatch population, and if they ate moose calves we'd be able to gack 'em out of a Supercub.

Heck, even residents would need a guide...

That said- some of the Native lore is pretty interesting to read about- just the thing we all need to read just before moose camp!
