Where can I rent a Sat Phone. I need one for about 2 1/2 weeks for a fly in hunt. Anyone know how much they cost. Thanks

Call Greg at The Surveyor's Exchange in Anchorage. They have a good supply of phones, good prices, and excellent service. I'm picking up a phone from them tomorrow for our goat hunt this weekend.

I've rented from Surveyors Exchange several times. Good phones and service. About $100 per week plus airtime if I recall correctly.

Default I have used them @

Surveyors Exchange also. Greg was great to deal with. Phones come with all the goodies! Great company to deal with. I believe they were off 36th ave on a side street.

As far as price, I think about $10 a day, or $75 a week. It was in 07 when I rented though.

They also rent bear fences if need. Mark Taylor at Wiggys also rents the same bear fences, I got mine from and it worked great! Both top not business!

Surveyor's Exchange in Fairbanks charges $75 per week, and $1.75 per minute of airtime. Nice thing is, if you reserve it for 2 1/2 weeks but come back early, they don't make you pay the extra, and you don't have to pay in full week increments, either. I had one from 8-19 Aug and it cost me $117.

I'm assuming the Anchorage location would charge the same.
