I was wondering if anyone on here fishes lakes offshore and would be able to maybe give me some techniques for lake shore fishing.

Basically it's the same as from a boat. Work structure, logs, brush piles, rocks anything that gives the little fish a place to hide and big fish a place to hunt. Especially near deep water. The surrounding topography of the shore normally continues several yards under water. Weed beds and wave patterns can indicate sunken islands or big stumps. Don't be afraid of doing some walking, without trespassing. Let your bait/spinner/spoon sink long enough to get within a few feet of the bottom before retrieving, if your not getting a occasional snag your not deep enough. Wear polarized glasses, your looking for structure more than actual fish.
