    Default Ducks and Zodiacs

You are probably tired of hearing about plastic boats - -

one more question though before you cut me off....

If I try to hunt out of my Zodiac for ducks - well, what does freezing temperatures do to an inflatable rubber boat? I think that if it touched down to freezing it would be okay - but teens and zeros would make it snap crackle pop?

When do you put up your inflatable?

Was thinking about a duck cast and blast on Skilak or similiar in September/October.

It depends on which material is your boat made of? Hypalon or PVC?

    Default Hypalon

AKR&K told me that it is Hypalon all the way around.

I assume that the rubber is better than the plastic for cold weather....

Yeah, Hypalon should do fine... PVC tends to crack in cold...

    Default Winter boating...no problem!

xcopper99 and I were out in Oct & Nov for fishing on the Kenai in my Zoad and I was out on Green Island last 21st of December for deer hunting. Go for it!!! The cold weather was no problem.

    Default wow

You went to Green in December - in a Zodiac? I think that either yours are bigger than mine - or they have been frozen off.....LOL.
