LOST fly rod at Bird Creek
I am the moron that leaned his fly rod up against my car in a way that it would tip over and lie on the ground such that I would not see it. I drove back to Anchorage, realized my mistake, and then drove right back.
You must be the nice person that picked it up for me, since it wasn't there when I returned. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness. I'd be happy to buy you a nice dinner if you want to give it back. High five!
Rod - pretty sure it was a St. Croix, 9' - 6" or so. Definitely 8wt. 2 pc.
Reel - Ross Cimeron 3.
Line - neon green floating line, I believe the backing is orange.
All this gear has seen some use, line is a little dirty, etc.
(I know, I know, yeah right... that puppy is gone. worth a shot, though...)
Hope this helps
This will not help you now. Make a label with Name, Ph # place on pole, both pieces. Also place name ph in tackle boxes. I also have name on cell phone, wallet.
I do this with my golf clubs.
Thanks, Stan. That is good advice. I do that with some of my stuff, but not all. I guess I figure a fly rod is typically easier to keep track of than other stuff. For instance, I don't have any name tags on my guns, but I did think to take a picture of my contact information with my digital camera, and I always leave that as the first photo in my memory card.
What works even better is keeping better track of one's stuff, hehe. Live and learn....
I hit up Craig's List as well, so we'll see.
