    Default Tikka T3 Mounts

I am not having much luck finding scope mounts for my T3 - would the Leupold Sako Mounts work?

    Thanks

I had the same problem a while ago. Leupold# 54447 is a two piece base for the T-3, comes in a black matte finish and will accept the twist in dovetail on the front and two screw pinch for the rear. This allows you to use rings from Burris or Leupold. I ordered them from Tikka Precision, TGSCOM, Inc. 1-800-518-3808
    << www.tikkaprecision.com >> The Tikka Precision # is 57766, $20 plus $8 for shipping. Hope this helps.

I swapped out my Tikka OEM rings for a set of Warne rings. They clamp onto the receiever just like the OEM rings, but more better. They are also the same height. When I took it out to rezero last week with crappy Remington ammo it shot 3" to the left and about 3" high at 100 yrds.

I dropped back to 200 yrds (actually 198 according to the rangefinder) and drilled a 1" high deadcenter hole with a Federal Vital-Shok HE and 180gr Nosler Partition. Looks to be minute of moose heart to me.

Tally is the way to go and very reasonable. SWFA should have them.

Thanks guys... I'm in the bush so ordering base and rings is usually an exercise in patience!

I dropped a set of Talleys on mine over the weekend, worked great. BTW I went with the lows and had no problem with my 3 x9 -40MM Burris going on.

    Default another option

I just got a set of DNZ Gamereaper mounts. They're a one-piece mount, lightweight and have had some good reviews.

I haven't even mounted them yet, so no report.

call Boondocks in Eagle River, they have Tlaeeys or Warnes that look good.

    Default Another vote for Talley

The Talley rings I put on were lighter then the factory rings.
