Good luck AK, maybe the Sox can hold on while you're in the field, but you have better things to do than worry about them for the time being!

Had to make an unexpected return last night due to a wheel bearing going out on our meat trailer so i'll post a quick report. So far we've seen roughly 6-7 rams with one being real close but not close enough for us to warrant a closer look. All told, we've seen about 20-25 sheep, a bunch of caribou, 3 bull moose with one being a giant and I had an opportunity on the ride out to go after a grizz but I could not cut down the distance to put the hammer on him with the XLR 45-70. We are headed back out this morning and will return by Sunday, hopefully sooner with a much better report.

Best of luck! Look forward to hearing your report. I for some reason thought you had the late season Delta!

Well the first sheep hunt is over and we did not connect. The area we chose to hunt held a lot of sheep but nothing legal. We seen a LOT of ewes and lambs which is good, almost every ewe had a lamb so hopefully the mortality rate will hold up and maybe produce some future rams.

This area also seems to hold a lot of moose, while glassing for sheep I happened to spot a big cow standing out in the open. Upon further investigation there was a total of 9 moose in this group, with 3 being bulls. We had zero luck spotting bears.

So now it's time to clean everything up and repack for my Delta sheep hunt next Friday which I have been looking forward too for about 17 years now. I've got 9 days to find a ram and hopefully a grizz for my wife plus i'll gt to see some old friends that i've known since '93, should be a great time and hunt. Congrats to all the successful sheep hunters out there for getting it done!

Probably a correlation between the lack of bears and the number of moose. If nothing else, this unsuccessful sheep hunt showed you a decent moose hunting spot.............tell us where it is...............hahahahaha!
    I can't help being a lazy, dumb, weekend warrior.......I have a JOB!
    I have less friends now!!
