    Question ANYONE ever do the "giant butt" charters...

    There is a guy in FBKS that fished it alot... and wrote a book with Chris Batin, anyone here go on one of them trips for a 300+ pounder?

    Especially the ones in the stretchy spandex capri pants.

    On a serious note however, the big 'uns are the spawners.....shouldn't we leave them alone to insure we have lots of halibut in the future? I know catching a big fish is a thrill but I'd rather be eating the 20-30 pounders....and they don't usually have much in the way of worms like the the really big ones do. Nothing worse than finding half a worm on your fork.......

    I hear those "Big Butt" charters are expensive and illegal in most states. Just be sure that she is of legal gae first before you "charter" her.
    It ain't about the # of pounds of meat we bring back, nor about how much we spent to go do it. Its about seeing what no one else sees.
