    Default Thanks to Alaskans

Long time lurker. First time poster. Thanks to all you forum members in giving me knowledge in setting up my Indiana river tripping fishing rig.

Your ideas are invaluable and the motor set ups have changed the way I look at my canoe.

Planning a few night trip next week along the Ohio River in Indiana. My friends tell me I am nuts for getting on such a big river in a canoe.
I tell them "Hell, those nutty Alaskans run 'em up the Yukon". I love it.

Specialized knowledge making a specific type of boating better.

    Thank you.

By the way - I can't find any used Osagian 17s or Grumman freighters down here cause you guys seem to keep them from getting to the lower US

    Smile Freighters in the south.

I live in Florida and this Forum is what got me interested in freighter canoes. I just got a 2000 Grumman 19 with a galvanized trailer off Craigslist for $600. It was right here in town and dosent even have a dent on it. Keep looking, they are there.
