    Default Upper Willow/Deception

Fished upper Willow and Deception both Friday and Sunday. Only two trout in a total of 8 hrs fishing. a 14-16" on friday and a smaller 8-10" on Sunday. Still packed full of pinks, few dying kings and chum.

Did you go upstream from deception of from the deception bridge down? PM me if you want.

Just give it a couple of more weeks and you will see a big difference on your catch/hour ratio. Have found that when pinks are in Willow the rainbow bite is off till the end of August, the first part of September. At least that has been my observation for the past 35 years.

Rainbows don't seem to like pink eggs very much
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.

They didnt slow down to much for me. Some pinks are already spawning. I went above the deception/willow intersection.
