    Default Free Speck Call

Folks, just to let you in on it. Mack's is giving away an RNT Quackhead Speck call for the cost of shipping ($8.95)...shipping for Priority Mail is kind of high, so they're making something on it. But it's still a great deal.

    Default Confirmed

I'm always kind of leery when I see things like this, but I called the company to confirm it wasn't a scam and they said it's true. Ordered two for me and a buddy!

    Thanks for the heads up!!!!!!!!!

Your welcome guys...I was a bit skeptical too...thinking you had to order other items to get the free call (I know Mack's is a reputable place). When I placed the order online for the call only...it went through OK. Total cost=$8.95, which I know they're making probably $5 off of that, but what the hey. It's still a great deal.

Man, I finally got my call over the weekend! I was beginning to wonder. It's a great call..especially for the $8.95. The priority mail postage was $4.03....and I figure the handling probably took up the rest of the money...so Mack's isn't making much if anything at all.

Got mine too. Not a bad call...I just don't know how to use it. Given a little time, I should be fine.

I got mine two days ago, and I am honking it up and down the glenn on my way to work. It sounds great.

    Default low call

I can get the high part of the call but am having trouble with the low part. Anybody around Anch that might give me a pointer some night next week?

It seems that spec calling is all back pressure so to get the low call do you just muffle /cover the end of the call more?

You didn't say what problem you're having....I suspect it may be an air volume and diaphram issue.
On the low end....you need to keep the air pressure up...but lower the volume of air. I try not to over-think these things, and look at it like it's a musical instrument (basically it's a high tech kazoo). Believe it or not, one of the better ways to get to know your call is to play some tunes on it...high, low, get to know what makes the reed pop, etc. I hope that makes sense...or better yet, you found someone to help you out.
