    Default Homer weather and stuff

With the derby starting i Seward I decided to try Homer this trip. I don't get to Homer much but plan on making a long weekend of it this weekend. Weather sounds like it may be OK. Am I missing anything here. Should I also be looking at another forecast and splitting the difference like I do for Resurrection Bay?

I plan on driving down tomorrow. If water isn't to rough, I will go out Sat PM. What wind direction do I need to watch out for? I know that the afternoons typically get pretty choppy.

Any good ideas on anchorages for the evening? My wife and I plan on doing some boat camping as well as fishing. Leave Saturday back on Tuesday. Considering a transient slip in Seldovia but interested in other ideas. Something easy in and out and close to fishing.

I will be in a 24' Tolman with cabin.

Sorry for the ignorance still trying to learn new areas.

Sounds like it will be a decent weekend. Was calling for the same last weekend but ended up having near no wind, 75 degree weather and maybe 1 foot waves. Super nice.
