What are the best flys to use in the fairbanks area and where are some good places to go fishing. I am new to the area and just want to get out and try to catch some fish.

Drive up chena hot springs about 40 miles. Cast any dry fly into the river and catch grayling until your arm is tired. Catch and release only, great place to fish.

Stimmies, Adams, Black Gnats, Copper Johns, Pheasant Tails, the list goes on like that.
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.
