    Default 2nd Bings!!!

Been fishing upriver from Bing's for 16 straight days. Last 5 days or so has been really great red action and beautiful up there; hit any of the cut banks, water also coming back down quickly.

Anyone have advice on how to fish Bings either by boat or on foot or some combination of the two? My dad and I went up there a few days ago and couldn't figure out how to get to where everyone was fishing.

i just stay here in the valley this time of year. if you dont mind people, the tailrace has been producing loads of silvers in early morning. 5am-7am. between 7 and 8 the bite has been dying. Must have seen 50 landed this morning in those 2 hours...we got our 9.

Bings Landing is at Mile Marker 80 on Sterling Highway. Bings Landing is a Campground/Boat launch Ramp. You can access the River from camground or Steelhead Rd. If you go down Steelhead Road go all the way to the end and make a left. Parking is limited. There is a trail that leads to the river.
There is orange plastic fence and you can see where the main fishing hole is. People will be shoulder to shoulder but if the fish are there is incredible catching. You can also fish above that hole and it will be a little less crowded. Right below that hole is where I like to fish, is a little more difficult but the fish are there, lots of snags so bring lots of Flies. The fish are also a little farder out. Also be very careful, water is fast and going down that cliff can be dangerous. Good luck.

Take the Glenn North out of Anchorage(towards wasilla), exit Old Glenn Highway, 5 miles down on the left.
