We were in Delta last week. We couldn't even see DM776 for the smoke. I'm going back up that way the end of the month. Hope things are going to clear.

well the deal with this one how is is sitting of the Rex dome... it can cover several prime hunting spots fast!!!!!!!! and run down the Rex trail.

granted the country there needs it BADLY!!! but folks should plan accordingly.. it will be an interesting year this one... there will be pockets of moose run together by the fire i think.... or there will be none as they don't normally start migrating in until mid AUg... on through sept... if the fires outlaying did not push them off..

    Thumbs up

The Canadian Govt has issued a Health Alert. Telling folks to stay indoors and not do anything exerting. This kind of year really helps the country regrow what the critters and hunters need.

Reinforcements are being called in from the lower 48. Resources are not able to keep up with the fires. Better start praying for rain, that is what usually gets them under control. About the best the firefighting crews can do, is to save property, sometimes.

Bummer...I am afraid you are not the only one. Nice you are able to fly it and find out ahead of time what still stands and doesn't.

No it will never be the same but it might be better for the moose down the road and your hunting might get even better.

I feel for you. The Caribou Hills fire down here a couple years ago really messed with our hunting here and Many many people lost their cabins. We are just getting ours dried in so we have a cabin to hunt from again this year. On a plus side, in just 2 years it is amazing how things have greened back up and there were alot of moose around last year in the areas that were coming back. Hang in there. This season will be tough though.
