Default Scott rod, do it yourself fix-it

I built a 4 piece 6wt Scott back in 94. The middle ferrule is starting to touch
the lower section. Is there any thing I can do to fix? epoxy then sand?
I could send it back to Scott, but I'd have to remove eyes, thraed, cork, and
    reelseat. Any idea's?

I'd bite the bullet and send it back. If you enjoyed building it the first time, you may enjoy rebuilding it a second or even third time.
Its worth getting fixed properly. Don't settle for a quick solution to an inconvenient problem.

I'd ask scott what to do
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.
