    Gotta love the fireweed ...just not when it starts to fade away. Summer is slipping away. Can you say ..........SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!

    very true.

    On a side note, it has been around 30 degrees during the night around Fairbanks, but at least the smoke is gone

    This was a great year for fireweed. But I never took the time to stop and take any shots Too many miles to cover and not enough time. The leaves are already turning yellow in our backyard in Fairbanks. Two weeks ago we drove the Rich and some yellow already showing up around Kenny Lake.
