Default Fuel Consumption- 24ft Bayliner- 5.7L

What is your average fuel consumption for a 5.7L. I have a 1995 Bayliner 2452 that uses about 13 to 15 GPH. Seems a little high but what's everyone else seeing out there?

for an older boat that is about the norm...

i had one a few years back... and took her in over the winter and rebuilt it... upgraded teh heads cams lifters the hole nine yards and made her run at 425 hp at 3200 rpm and reduced fuel to 6GPM...

you will also get another 5-10 years of good life if it is done well...

Run Bayliner 2556 w/ newer Volvo Penta 5.7GI motor and DP-SA outdrive. Depending on the seas and the load, which is usually heavy, get 1.8 to 2.2 MPG cruising 24-29mph (around 12-14GPH).

I have a 22' glasply, which is similar to Bayliner. I have a new 5.7 EFI vortec motor, 280 outdrive, I normally cruise @ 3000rpm 22-25 mph and burn 9-11gph

2005 24 foot Sea Sport with the 8.1, 375 hp big block. Three adults onboard and full fuel tanks (120 gallons) cruising at 25-27 mph I burn just over 2 mpg. If I open it up I better get my credit card out, lol.

    Default ? does 5.7 = 350CI

24 foot Roberts bowpicker VP 350,
I don't think it has 260 hp it is suppose to????
standard 280 outdrive last year 16-17gph 24-25 kts
this year converted to duo-prop- about 14 GPH. SAME SPEED
now can drop to 20-21 kts and stay on step easier at about 11 GPH ( a little better than 2MPG ROUGHLY)

5.7L is roughly 260 HP. 12-15 Gallons of fuel seemed a little high for a newer glass boat. At 3200 RPMS this boat is not going more than 23MPH and its still getting less than 2MPG. Can't figure it out.

I have 92 2452 with a 5.7 that I just rebuilt two years ago and my navman says right at 10 gph @3400 RPM , but time after time I check the mileage and its 2.4 on every trip. I reset the trip odometer on the chartplotter at the start and check it at the dock when I get back.

    Default 96 2452 5.7l

I've got a 1996 2452 with an Edelbrock 4 barrel carp and new Edelbrock manifolds, I'm buring 9-10 GPH at 22-24 knts (about 3400 RPM), that's pushing 2 adults, kid and about 100 gallons of gas.
