    Default Tanner crab cook time?

I've been catching some tanner crab recently (as well as last year) and the meat seems to come out mushy after I boil it. I've been boiling it for ~20 minutes....the shells are hard and full of meat, so I'm thinking that it's my cooking time?

That is way too long. We cooked our first batch for 8 minutes last year, and that was too long. Now we boil it for 3-5 minutes, tops. Try it - you'll be surprised at how fast it cooks.

Thanks. I'll cook it for a shorter time period next time...
