Default Brown bear on the Skewntna

I am coming up on the ninth from Wyoimg for a brown bear hunt. Will be hunting on the Skewntna river and was wondering if anyone has hunted 16b that early. Any info would be great.

Are you hunting with a guide? Family member who is a resident? If with a guide, they should be able to give you a reasonable explanation of what you can expect.

I'm going with a guide and all I know is it takes a plane and a boat to get there. It's like a 30 mile boat ride. I am just get cold feet I guess. I've never done this before and can't wait. I never thought I would get to go and am just nervous. I did my research and trust the guy but always like to hear from locals too.

    Default Just keep your expectations...

reasonable. A lot of 6-7 footers in that country. The constant air travel keeps the older bears mostly nocturnal. As for the time frame; it's fine. Bears will be hitting the clear sloughs for fish. That's my take anyway.
