    Default cozy cabin heater

I just bought a 1988 Olympic 26 with a 350 duo-prop. Just had it in Valdez and enjoyed the first time out. Really looking forward to spending time in PWS.
It came with a Force 10 cozy cabin heater propane heater. Cant get it to work, can get the pilot lite to come on for a short while. Any experience with this heater? Good or Bad??

check thr thermocouple, if the pilot is lighting it may take a little bit of time to generate enough power to hold the gas valve open.

Are you following the step by step lighting protocol? You have to hold the button/knob "in" for a few seconds till the thermocouple heats up. Then the pilot will stay on by its self. If you didn't get the owners manual with instructions, go to the Force 10 web site, I think they might be down loadable there.

These are pretty nice units. They put out a lot of heat.

Also, Force 10 was very good at answering my question a few years back when I bought my boat..... email them if you are still having trouble.
