    Default Sako Stocks

I'm looking for a synthetic stock for my Sako 85, but no such luck. Are the Sako 75 stocks internally the same as the 85? What about the L61R or AV?
    Thanks,
    Adam

Older Sako stocks (AV, Finnbears) will not fit the 75/85 series IIRC. I am not sure about the 76/85 difference because I have never seen a 85 stock innards.

The M75 and M85 stocks are the same.

The L61 and early AIII are the same the later AIII and AV are the same the 691 is a loner and the M75 and M85 are the same. I think McMillan makes M75 stocks.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help.

Murphy...if you ever publish that Sako book, I'll be in line to buy it.

The 85 has a stock-mounted bedding block vs an action mounted recoil lug like the 75. McMillan will bed your 85 to their 75 stock. I've got a model 75-V in .338 with a McMillan stock. It's a nice setup, especially since it replaces the Sako hockey puck on the end of the stock with a Pachmayr Decelerator.
