So I have about $1000 I'm considering spending on a late season charter. I live in Anchorage and make fairly regular Seward and Kenai runs, so I am familiar with the road-accessible prospects in those areas. I was wondering if there are any other destinations I should be looking into. I have always wanted to try the southeast, but with this low of a budget not really sure what (if anything) I would be able to afford.
Any ideas or charter company recommendations anyone has, in southcentral or elsewhere, would be appreciated.
Your post has me a little confused as I am not sure if your thinking South Central or only SE. but if I wanted to spend $1000.00 on charters it would be with Pro Fish N Sea or Crackerjack in Seward during the Silver derby on combo trips.

Try Reel Pleasure charters or Orion charters in Valdez. They are the two best outfits if you want big halibut and Lings. They fish Wessels Reef or Middleton Island out past the longliners.
