Okay, so a friend asked me to check out a used BAR-22 because he can'
t get it to shoot. Gun is in decent shape, clean and,now, lightly oiled. **** thing won't feed ammo consistently. Tried 7 different types of ammo, lubed, plated, roundnose, standard velocity, high velocity. A guy at the range said he had one and sold it because even new and after a return to Browning, it still wouldn't feed well. Anyone else had any actual experience with one of these. I need to get a good disassembly manual, but after taken it down, it all looks fine.
We see those regularly, and all suffer from the same problem...they don't work right. Some we can fix, others we can't, it's one of those lemon designed guns.
