    Default Russian Report and Gripe...

Just got back from the Russian, some fish in, not as good as I would have expected it to be, any time it should heat up. Managed to get my limit. Got 2 nice chrome ones in the first 10 mins of fishing, ended up keeping a pretty spawned out one for my 3rd just to be done, may be my first attempt at smoking.

Anyhow, few blatant rule breakers down there today. Seen a guy with a 35#ish king right above the sanctuary, and some guys at the cottonwood hole had got their 3, taken em to the car and started on another 3. I let the guys know at the gate but didn't have my cell on me to call, would have with the king being killed, just sad....

I would have rep pointed you for that if I hadn't just done it when you stepped up for a reckless driver in another thread

I was fishing just down from the guy when he caught it. I told him to let it go, but he was beating it on the head by then. The guy said he was from NY, then his buddies came down. Bunch of ***** Hol3's. I Watch'd, em bag it and disappear. 10 min later, guess who's back at the fishing hole. I've made mistakes in my day...Lots of them. Nothing compared to that! Funny thing is... I watched people taking pics of him with it. STUPID!.

    Default King on the Russian

Hi- I'm one of the Streamwatch folks who worked the river this weekend. A couple of fishermen told us about the king on Saturday morning, and we found it in the brush late in the morning. Any idea how it wound up back on the bank? We were pretty concerned about having it become a bear attractant so we put the carcass back in the river. Any additional details you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks.

Unbelievable, not only do they kill it but they just throw it in the woods when they're done. Tourist should be required to take a test on the fishing regs before they enter the state.

thats pretty freaking lame I'd rather see a big rainbow by the gills than that king out of that river. At least the big rainbows have spawned a few times
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.

That is the king in question.

Funny that you said the guy was from NY. The 2 rude guys up at the cottonwood hole were from NY as well.... Wonder if they were together.

Who took that picture? If it is the King in question, why would you post it for everyone to see?
