    Default catching silvers on odd stuff...

    I caught this guy on a chunk of chum salmon being reeled up from the bottom. He went 17lbs...

    I had that happen years ago too, in Haines. We were fishing in about 200 ft of water for halibut with herring, and came up with a nice silver.

    Yeah, I've heard of them caught on herring before. But a chunk of spawned out chum? I was wondering if people caught them on octopus or other stuff they were using for halibut or other fish...

    Default Coho Rig

    This lovely rig is our "Coho Rig" on the great lakes. First time I saw it I thought it was a joke. But....100's of steelhead and cohos later I am a believer. In the spring I will run six of these bad boys on lead core.

    Hey Dr. No, did you catch them puppies from that fine yacht of yours?
    I haven't taken mine out much this season, but the silvers will bring it out of hiding soon...

    Haha....You know it. I used it for kings too. The pic with just one fish was 27lbs, the darker fish in the 2 fish pic was 23lbs and the chromer was 30lbs...
