    Default garrett cartridges 44 mag hammerhead.

    Garrett cartridges 44 mag hammer head ammo in 310 grain for use in the back county outing..
    what do you think of it..
    and the 240.grain hollow points what do think of them as carry in the backwoods outting
    for a long time the 240.grain hollow point was the round that a lot people carryed in the backcounty
    outing..
    so any comments or ideas people

    The hollow points were never carried much in this back country. Folks did try the Hornady 300gr XTP when they came out for its higher weight but soon other none hollow point 300 gr replaced it. The HH are nice and should work if ever unlucky enough to need them JMHO

    Garrett is nice ammo. FYI in case you weren't aware, they also make a 330 Hammerhead that is even faster than the 310 you mentioned.

    Garrett 44 mag 330 gr Hammerhead loads will not fit in a Smith - too long. They will fit in a Ruger Redhawk, and maybe a Super Blackhawk. Check out the Garrett website. All the info is there.

    iam going to stick to the lower grain wieght of the 310 in 44 mag cal with the old standby of 240.grain hollow-points for use as need ..

    GNG had 3 boxes of 330g Hammerhead today. They still have 3, because I have a S&W.
