    Default Fishing suggestions

We have a four day weekend and would love to do some fishing and camping we welcome all suggestions you can provide. We are new to AK and need some direction. We are located in Anchorage and are willing to go north or south. Thank you for your help in advance.

You can work your way south and catch pinks at almost every stream you pass. Bird and Glacier should also have some chums already and a few early silvers any day now. Glacier was very muddy a few days ago, but California is fairly clear where the two meet above the tracks. I don't know how available the campgrounds on the Kenai will be on short notice but there are two campgrounds in Hope, and the one at the mouth of the creek (check in at the tavern) should always have room to pitch a tent.

May try your hand at some late runners. Starting to come in good down in Kenai
