Google something like "Alaska Weir Counts" and see if you can find a site that publishes daily weir counts on most but not all rivers and tribs. That will give you a daily count of everything moving up and down stream. I get them send to my email daily. I just deleted it so I dont have the link to give you.

I Googled Kodiak daily weir counts and got the "HIT" below

You should start seeing them in bird creek and the little su about now.
It ain't about the # of pounds of meat we bring back, nor about how much we spent to go do it. Its about seeing what no one else sees.

    All,

Thanks for the info. I'm headed down to Hope today for some pink action. We'll see about the chums.

    WVFF,

I'm originally from Lisbon, Ohio across the border from you. Hunted down your way a lot.

If you are interested in chums you might want to stop at Ingram Creek on the other side of turnagain arm. It is the creek just before you head up the hill on the other side. It usually has an even mix of pinks and chums, or atleast a better chance at them than hope. Enjoy Hope is a great fishery.

Chums are showing pretty good at Clear Creek. So are pinks. Pinks are in big time at Willow Creek.

I had a blast in Hope yesterday. The view and weather were amazing and the fish are there in force. I probably cought 25-30 pinks. I may try ingram creek this Sunday if I get back out. Has anyone been to Bird creek to see if there are any chums?
