    Smile Colt Combat Commander issue

I was shooting my .45 this afternoon and I had a problem with the action closing after the last round. I have had this gun for several years and I have never had this problem before. I was shooting the same ammo I have always shot in it since I have owned it. I took it apart and cleaned real good about two weeks ago and have not shot until today. What could be the problem?

Mag follower bent down a little or to much grease on the bottom of slide stop

Have you replaced the springs lately? A worn out spring can cause all kinds of trouble.

    Default Check the magazine(s)

Try closing the action without the magazine in the gun. If it closes without effort then the mag is the problem. Remember that with an empty mag in the gun you are also compressing the mag spring when you press down the slide stop. Often the mag follower will rub or hang up on the body of the magazine or ride up beside the stop instead of under it. Hope this helps! GUNBUGS
