Thread: 20A Draw permits (Moose)

    Default 20A Draw permits (Moose)

Did anyone win outright, a 20A Draw Moose permit, or does it say "deferred" in the details ?

I went back a second time and looked at the details of my application results, all are "no" wins but the DM768 results is "deferred" as seems so common.

Is there still litigation/griping regarding the status of 20A moose hunting permits to anyone's knowledge ?

I've gotten "deferred" on two 20A permits I applied for. I don't know what it means.
    Now what ?

It was originally deferred but now I drew the permit outright.

Now the details list DM768 as "NO" regarding my application. I will venture a guess that the results for those permit areas were still pending, and thus listed as "Deferred" until all all tabulation was completed.

    Unhappy Same here

Yeah the same thing happened to me. DM768 and DM770 both said deferred, but now say no.

    Default My Speculation

I would speculate when they deferred the draw to the spring supplement they entered deferred for everyone that had put in from the winter supplement. Then they entered the winners this spring and did not change the others from deferred to no until now.

    Default Same here

338 i am in the same boat, Saturday and Sunday my Draw for DM773 said Deferred, but today it says NO. I dont understand it, I put in for the Moose drawings this spring, not last winter.
    Anyone else know anything?

    Default Deferred

We looked up deferred today on the F&G website. It said that deferred referred to the tags applied for last winter that were, indeed, deferred until this drawing. So, if you got a deferred it means "no" to the application submitted last winter. I did win a DM 773 party hunt for this September that I had put in last winter. My announcement just said that I won. It did not refer to it as a deferred winning. I didn't put in this summer, just last winter. Now I need help planning my hunt. It was unexpected.

AKDREAMER, that makes no sense if F&G stated such a thing, I did not apply for any moose draw permits during the winter application period.

I can see it as a half truth at best.

After reading everyone's comments on this and other threads, I agree with you. There seems to be no rhyme or reason for the deferred notices.

I applied in the winter and at first it said 'deferred' on the F&G website, now it just says I WON a permit. Good deal. Big bull or bust.

Same here. I put my wife and dad in for a 20A any bull permit in the winter. Friday & Saturday in the details it said deferred, but now it just says "YES" next to it stating its not longer deferred and they actually won the permits outright.

I won with a group hunt. I don't know much about the area and would appreciate any info about access (roads and trails).
