    Default Transporting an Outboard

Hello all, I have a question about transporting an Outboard. To access one of my hunting areas, I need to ATV in, then boat in further before using Shanks Mare. My questions is what is the best way to get the motor into the area? It is a 2 stroke, 25 HP. I'm worried that if I lay it down inside an ATV trailer, oil will leak out and make a mess. I am new at this, so any help you can provide will be very much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

No need to worry about oil leaking out of a 2 stroke. I believe the books say to either lay them on the tiller or with the prop down. Pad it up, no worries.

    Thumbs up

Put it prop down in the middle of the trailer and pack all your gear around it to keep it from shifting around. It should work fine, as there is no oil in the crankcase like there is in a four stroke motor.
