Default Eureka Poker Run 25 July...

Performance Yamaha of Wasilla is hosting their annual customer appreciation weekend and poker run at the Eureka lodge the weekend of 25 July. For those that went last year, we had a blast in spite of the temps and rain (saw sleet and snow on the trail).

This year will be the same with one added event...."Blind Side x Side"! The driver will be blind folded and the passenger has to give directions through an obstacle course...sounds like a husband and wife event if I have ever heard of one.

Call (907)373-7668 to register (they need a good head count for food and drinks).

Come on up and join us for a great weekend of riding and camping! Hope to see you there.

This event is a Performance Yamaha Customer event but is open to all (even if you don't have a Yamaha)...you just need to register by 21 July if you are attending.

Firewood is needed so if you have some bring it up for the bonfire on Saturday night...PM me for details.

    Thanks!

I'm a little too far away to make this one Muddy. Say hi to everyone for me. So which one of you is going to be blindfolded?

The other 299,300,000 people can have it.

Noone has a more intimate understanding of, or deeper appreciation for freedom, than a soldier who has fought for it in a country where it does not exist.

Good to hear from you brother...I got your other email and will respond soon. As far as the blind folding goes I think we are going to take turns. I think the wife would rather have me drive though...she loves telling me "where to go"!!!!!!!

Stay safe over there!!! Let me know if you need anything.

Dropped by Yamaha today and looks like we have 116 folks registered for the poker run. Looks to be a good one! See you there...

Well How'd it go? The weather was freakin Outstanding up there this weekend. Saw 4 of the biggest bull bou's on Tyone river I have seen in my life, and ran into a herd O bou's on the little Nel at least a 1000 strong, with small pockets in between. A few moose, eagles, parky squirles, fox, and no bear (but lots of sign). Caught a few nice grayling as well. How did the rally go?

The rally was awesome. We had 163 riders (twice as many as last year) and the weather could not have been better. The poker run went over the porcipine ridge trail, down into the marsh land and back out to the hwy, ending back at the lodge. The event was much better this year after a few lessons learned from last year.

Big thanks to the Performance Yamaha folks and the owners of the Eureka Lodge. They put on a fantastic event for all that came out to participate. Everyone I spoke with said they wanted to make it an annual event for their friends and family.

For those that didn't make it...you missed out on a great trail, great people, and some fantastic prizes. Top 5 poker hands payed out this year...#1= $800....#5= $250.

and the weather was great this year too!!!!!

Here is a short video to enjoy...hope to see you next year
