Default Ideas for 1st Float Trip

I've been to Alaska 4 times in the past 4 years, and would like to do an unguided float trip somewhere around southwest Alaska, and would like some ideas and suggestions where and what time to go. We are experienced fisherman and have whitewater rafted in the midwest before. Thanks.

Lots of choices man. Tell us more about your goals. What kind of fish would you like to target. Fishing, solitude, scenery? Which is the biggest priority. Many floats have a bit of a trade off in this department. Some rivers offer more of one than the other. Trip timing is very important. Can you go anytime or is there a specific time frame you plan to do the trip. Any info like that would be helpful. Lots of knowledgable folks frequent this forum. The more info you can provide, the more focussed your responses will be.

We were looking to catch silvers, bows, and dollies. We are most interested in good fishing (Obviously), and next solitude and then scenery. We were thinking Mid August would put us in the right time frame to catch those 3 species, but could go at any time. We do not have a problem spending a bit more money to go to a less crowded area. Any suggestions and ideas are appreciated.
