    Hi all,

    Anyone ever fish the porcupine river near Fort Yukon? Also, what is the river like? Deep / shallow/ muddy / etc.... Thanks for the info.

    the porcupine river is wide and muddy at ft yukon. Pike fishing is probably good in sloughs feeding into the river and at creek mouths where fish can see your lure. But its been 20 yrs since Ive been through there. Bring a boat for best time.

    Pike fishing is good in sloughs feeding.... the farther from town u go..as they will net'em and feed there dogs...

    How is the "running" up river? Is it an easy run or shallow or other issues, say 30 miles up? Thanks for the info.
