Default Is the air any clearer up north?

    Hey everyone -

I was planning to hike Crow Pass this weekend, but the haze around town has gotten thicker each day this week. I understand much of it is due to one of several large fires north and a bit west of here.

Question for any of our friends on the Parks highway and other destinations north of here: Is it any clearer in Talkeetna? How about Fairbanks?

Suggestions on alternate backpacking trails in those areas are appreciated.

    Thanks.

Its quite smoke free in Fairbanks right now, but it has been quite smoky the last couple of days - depending on how the wind is blowing it could get bad again.

Fairly clear here in Talkeetna. Much better than Wasilla or Anchorage. Could change at any minute, though.
