Default Top 3 places to be this weekend??

I am at work, leaving in the morning for 3 days of fishing fun. I live in Fairbanks for I have a drive a head if I want to fish salmon, so what do you, my fellow fanatics suggest?

    We are CONSIDERING:

Tangle Lakes for grayling perhaps a laker

Klutina for a red or a king (hear the fishing is not so great)

Valdez for the kids to catch pinks.. hear the pinks have NOT SHOWED UP??

So this is why I am asking your input..

PM me if you want to keep it secret...
At least the weather looks good!

Number 1: Seward. Bottom fishing is good, and silvers have been hot lately. If I had a boat still or the money, that's where I'd be.

Number 2: Homer/Ninilchik/Deep Creek/Anchor River for halibut, lings, and possibly king salmon.

Number 3: If you don't care about salmon or size and want to have fun a little closer to home, go to Tangle Lakes. It's beautiful country.

I wouldn't go to the Klutina. I've heard it's high and fishing is very slow.

Pinks are a little late in Valdez and haven't really shown up yet.

    Good luck and have fun!

    Fishing the salt
    Fishing the russian
    Fishing for laketrout and grayling
It ain't about the # of pounds of meat we bring back, nor about how much we spent to go do it. Its about seeing what no one else sees.

Ditto.....if you have a boat then the fishing success at all of these places will increase.

    Fish On!
You know your not catching any fish when you start talking about the weather...

    Top 3 no-fail places:

Carrs -- A must for the biggest Salmon
Three Bears -- Plenty of fish and a side of beef too!
Wal Mart -- Strange but the freshest catfish available in Alaska!

The wifey will love you, regardless of whatever "river" her dinner
comes from...at least the thought counts!
