Google Earth users: I just experimented with this feature and you may find it quite interesting for studying the channels in the mouth of the Kenai.

Click on the link below. You do not have to be a member of the Google Earth community. Click on the Kenai River mouth.kmz file and open it with Google Earth and you will be taken to an overhead view of the Kenai with clearly visible channels.

Of course the boat dippers already know where these are, but the shore dippers at the mouth may find it interesting.

BTW Google Earth is a free download.
