Default About the lack of Kings

I am headed up to Anchorage the middle of August for silvers , pinks and chum , was wondering if there's any way of knowing if the runs for these fish are going to be poor also or isn't there any relation to these runs and the kings .

I can't imagine a great trip to Alaska and the run is so bad they close some of the creeks !! Has this happened before ??

    Default kings

i just got back from the ayukulik on kodiak yesterday. plenty of sockeye, few kings. out of 7 of us we each landed a few kings. a few 30lb plus. river closed about 2 days into the trip. c&r only, no bait or scent. good trip either way.

Even the experts can not predict the runs with any degree of precision. So, to answer your question, it is impossible to tell until the run is coming though.
A prime example was the early run Russian sockeyes this year as it was way above what was expected.
There will be fish to catch but how many is anyones guess.
