This is copied from a notice I recieved today. Not sure how wet it really is. I was run out of the flats by Knik 3 weeks ago the mosquitoes were that bad, and have not been back. It may be safe now. Good to keep the hunting interests visable for the Hay Flats.

Learn about flowers, plants and birds unique to this estuarial habitat, as well as local history and how this area came to be Palmer Hay Flats State Game Refuge. Spectacular vistas in every direction.

Fairview Loop Rd >to> Hay Field Road >to> Access Rd
Meet in the Lower Parking Lot at the end of the road

Dress for the weather. Bring camera, binoculars and/or scope and your favorite bird and wild flower guide books to use and share. Wear rubber boots, as some wading might be necessary.
