Thread: Lake Charts

    Default Lake Charts

Does anyone know if there are charts like nautical charts (showing depth and other info) for some of the lakes in Alaska? I'd be especially interested in the lakes around Fairbanks, but other lakes as well.

The fish and game website has this info.

Not sure about the depth but you can get some basic info by going to - http://www.charts.noaa.gov/Interacti...og/nrnc.shtml# I think it is possible to get lat/lon per location and find out the depth/height of the specific point. Also - http://maps.google.com (terrain) + panoramino pics can give you basic idea of the location.

The state fish and game office in Soldotna has these for our area lakes. I would have to assume that if you went into f&g in Fairbanks they would also have charts for your area lakes.

If you board the wrong train, it is no use running along the corridor in the other direction.
