    Default Alaska's Greatest Photographer --Dead...

    Guys,

Pardon my seemingly attention grabbing title to this thread. I stumbled upon this young man named Shaun Lunt, and within two hours of drooling over the prettiest pictures of Alaska, my heart sunk -- to learn he died due to his bush plane nose-diving to a violent death....

I was Googling last night, in the images department, for Eklutna Lake, and stumbled across him....Oh, man, do I feel so blessed by this young man, and his passion. And to learn of his passing brings tears to my eyes...

Please honor this man as I have done, upon viewing samples of his work, then sending an email to his family....YOU wont be sorry.....

Crab, I too, do not know if I have ever seen such beautiful photography of our state in one locale....Truly Stunning! Thanks for the link! Noticed that the dates from postings were only a few short months...dont now of the accuracy though.

Man, I envied him....just imagine what he saw and experienced that wasn't captured in a photograph...

I have wonderful news for all of his fans. Norm Lunt, Shaun's father, has a tribute page up on Facebook.

Search for "Shaun Lunt," and look for this photo next to his name:

Send along an add to show your support. We may not have known him personally, or have paid our due respects at his funeral, but at least we can now via his Facebook account.

His father would certainly appreciate it.

Thanks for posting that. I saw it last year and was quite moved by it. A very nice young man. A fellow I wish I could have met. A fellow I wish I could have been.

    I was thinking similar, Jim.

Judging from his pictures and video, It's like he packed more LIFE into his too short years than many folks who live out their old age. Interesting thoughts Jim, thanks. One sure can't say he didn't live a LIFE.
