Default Where to take a kid fishing on Kenai Pen.

So my nephew is flying up to come fishing with me. I live in seward and have fished all over the kenai, Just nowhere where it is easy for a kid to get some trout or dollies. Any ideas?

... take him out on Kelly Lake right off the Sterling Highway. Early morning, should tie into some nice rainbows. Spoons work fine, eggs or shrimp a few feet under a bobber are fine too.

But hey, what about Grouse Creek down your way? Some dandy dollies in there.

... that there are some nice fish in there. You'd never guess it to look at it. Don't rule out Ptarmigan Creek, Daves Creek, Quartz Creek and Crescent Creek.

Default Want to take them herring fishing?

If so you can hook up with me. I also live in Seward and if the herring are there the kids will have a blast. Cant really eat them but we can get some killer bait.
