Default Damyl Bamboo Fly Rod- Any info?

Does anyone out there know about Damyl bamboo fly rods? Made in Germany.

Got one coming up at an auction and was wondering if it had any value? Rod is in really nice shape. Did a google, but could not find much on it. Just wondering if any collectors in the crowd knew anything.

    Thanks.

    Default Sorry to Say no

I have not been up and about concerning Bambo Rods in a few years unfortunately I have never heard of them with the exception of quick reels and or line.

There are a ton of newer generation split rod makers so you have a task in front of you.

Sorry! I could not help more.

    Thanks for the link.

So far I am coming up empty. No one seems to recall this brand of rod. If it goes cheap enough I may try and pick it up tomorrow. I doubt it will stay in my price range for long though.

    Who? Glenn Brackett?????

Both Sweet Grass and Winston make bamboo rods in Twin Bridges.

An Anchorage bamboo rod builder, Chris Carlin is highly respected in the bamboo rod community:
