Default Finger Lake -- Fishing from the shore

I wanted to head out to Finger Lake, but most of the posts talk about fishing it from a boat.

Are there good places out there to fish from the shore/docks?

    Thanks!

not many, you have a few hundred yards that isnt private property. Pretty slow from the bank. At both docks, you will see the lil guys running around, the first dock had about 60-90 lil ones. I had one on, but the salmon egg was to much for him to swallow.

Just trying to get my kids onto a fish. The 2 year old, well he is a year away, the four y/o can hold out about 30 mins and the 9 y/o is about 45 mins, so it was a quick stop to micky d's and then to memory lake, which yeilded the same results. Did have another friendly person, or lack there of show up. I asked if they ever have any luck from the bank, and I got the grunt. Was glad I was leaving.

Hmmm, not much shore and unfriendly people? I think I will head out to Cambell Point or DeLong and generally try to make friends with someone who has a boat.

    Thanks for the tip!
