    Default Fish and Bears

I checked the archives but couldn't find any info on this.

I have plenty of experience camping and backpacking in Alaska, but no experience fishing and camping in Alaska. I am wondering what people do with their cleaned/filleted fish during the night to keep it from the bears.

I have access to bear canisters as well as bear fences.

What do others do in this situation to protect your catch?

I'd suggest you catch what you want to eat that night, clean everything well, and on your last day keep something to carry out.

Hard to beat fresh shorelunch, leave the wack and stack for easier circumstances.

wrap em up and put cooler in car or wet moored the boat and stored there or even have built a food cache away from camp. I am sure there are other ways but these are what we have done and had no critter visits yeha what catchit said lol
