Default Last fall's griz back from the tanner.

Recieved my griz hide back from the tanner today. Great job on the hide. The photos do not do the differnt colors of this bear justice.

Don't know what I'm going to do with it right now. I took it south of Circle.

Nice looking rug. Being as I have a grizz rug any grizz I shoot from here on out will just be tanned. Would you mind giving a rough ballpark of the cost to tan that bear and how big it was??

    Thanks

It was a 3 year old, squared about 6 foot. Trophy Tanning and Taxidermy in Palmer did it. Total cost $688 to include the cost of fleshing and skinning the feet.

Thanks, sounds pretty reasonable. So roughly 1/2 the cost of a rug, man the predator control stuff ain't cheap.
